Mr Lito Banal is the current Chairman of the New Zealand Philippines Business Council (NZPBC) and Director of Kiwi Management Services and Kiwi Roofing Limited.
Kiwi Roofing have been involved in major infrastructure developments, providing services to the biggest construction companies in New Zealand , whom the company have also attained the “Preferred Specialist Contractor Status “. In the local construction industry, you instantly associate Kiwi Roofing with wide expanses projects. Aside in exploring other business opportunities, the Management Services Company offers consultancy, management, logistics and resources support to Kiwi Roofing and its subsidiary , Commercial Reroof & Skylights Solutions Ltd ( Commercial Refurbishment /Reroofing Division ).
Lito believes that building solid relationships, making wise decisions and having the motivation to prosper are good principles to follow when dealing with a business/company or an individual. He earned his Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering ( BSCE ) from Mapua Institute of Technology ( MIT ) and a native Capampangan. He was a former Finance Council Chairman and the first elected and three – term Chairman of The Auckland Catholic Filipino Chaplaincy ( ACFC ) and currently, a Trustee of SCOT Foundation. He socially plays basketball and loves his Los Angeles Lakers . An advocate in the development of Filipino Sports in New Zealand , he is a major benefactor of the more than a decade old LS Banal Basketball Open League currently run by West Auckland Sports Association ( WAFSA ) . Though, it may be a little bit late, he is just getting serious in golf to keep up with his son Ethan. Both father and son actively participate in Pinoy Golfers Club (PGC) social golf tournaments. A few of his accolades were the first recipient of the Filipino News Business Leader of the Year in 2014 and the 2016 ANZ Migrant Business Award , the first Filipino to receive this recognition.
