New Pinoy Resto Opens with Gusto

Boracay Garden Restaurant, one of the latest additions to the NZPBC membership roster, formally opened its doors to the public on 7 April 2016 after a successful soft opening for lunch the day prior. Spearheaded by its owners, Stuart and Marjorie Bennett, Boracay Garden Restaurant showcases authentic Filipino and Asian cuisine, from the humble lumpia (spring roll) to the complicated kare-kare (Philippine stew complimented with a thick savory peanut sauce) at very affordable prices.

The opening ceremony and blessing was led by Father Larry Rustia, followed by a brief message from Honorary Consul-General Paulo Garcia. Afterwards, handpicked guests, family, and special friends were treated to a Filipino buffet that definitely whetted everyone's appetite.
