2017 Roadshow: Get Face-To-Face Time With Government ExpertsSubmitted by blossoms_cruz on Fri, 2017-03-24 12:07
Whether it’s how to comply with new rules or pay the right tax, if you’re a small business owner, you probably spend a lot of time working with government agencies.
The government’s latest roadshow — Taking Care of Business — aims to make it easier for you to spend less time on government so you can spend more time on your business.
This follows on from last year’s successful roadshow that saw over 2,000 small business owners attending 22 events across the country.
“We want to help business owners engage with government agencies more effectively and efficiently by taking the government experts to the businesses, not the other way around,” says Minister for Small Business, Jacqui Dean.
As well as enjoying a wide range of speakers from across government, attendees will be able to talk one-on-one with officials and network with other businesses in their community.
“As new Minister for Small Business, I want to engage with businesses around New Zealand and better understand the challenges they are facing.”
“It’s about allowing small businesses to grow and thrive, so whether they’re worried about meeting health and safety legislation, tax or ACC obligations; or if want to find help to grow their business, they have someone they can talk to directly.”
This year’s events will take place between March and July 2017 in:
More details, including specific dates and venues will be released shortly.
The roadshow starts in Kaikōura on March 27. This event will focus on government assistance post-earthquake.
