The first session entitled Taking the Leap was held on 22 June 2017, Thursday at Chapman Tripp’s function Room in ANZ Centre, Albert St. Auckland.

The speakers for that night were Stuart Bennett of Boracay Garden Restaurant, Mark Dizon of MDG Property Management and Lloyd Macrohon of Azon Restaurant in Parnell. They are all successful business entrepreneurs in Auckland, New Zealand.

The speakers shared their experiences in taking the leap to start their own business, talked about some of the challenges and negativity they encountered and how they got through their respective journeys. PASSION, COMMITMENT, INTEGRITY, and HARD WORK are among the key points that helped them survive critical phases of business journeys. They also gave some practical advises on how to make it work and be successful.

Towards the end of the session, the participants were given the opportunity to ask questions which the speakers gladly answered.

It was a very meaningful night where everyone brought home some helpful information, new learning, and the inspiration to take the leap!
