Mark is currently the Managing Director of MDG Property Management Limited, a Filipino-owned company managing residential properties in Auckland. Prior to this, he worked at Ray White Manukau as a property manager, as a real estate salesperson at Rex Davy Limited in West Auckland, and as a real estate broker in the Philippines. He graduated from Ateneo De Manila University, Philippines where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Management Engineering degree.
Involved in rowing, he was a former Board Secretary of the Manila Boat Club which is the oldest existing sports club in the Philippines. He competed in the Hong Kong Rowing Open Championships in 2006 in the double sculls representing the Manila Boat Club. He is a licensed International Rowing Umpire certified by Fédération Internationale des Sociétés d’Aviron (FISA) otherwise known as the International Federation of Rowing Associations (http://www.worldrowing.com/mm//Document/General/General/10/73/11/2014FIS...). He has had international officiating stints as an official, jury member or part of the board of the jury throughout Asia, New Zealand, Europe, and the Middle East. He recently umpired in the Rowing World Cup in Lucerne, Switzerland in July 2011, the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Indonesia in November 2011, World Rowing Under 23 Championships in Linz-Ottensheim, Austria in July 2013, and the Asia/Oceania Olympic Qualification Regatta in Chungju, Korea in April 2016.
Involved in badminton, he is a member and was the Board Secretary (2013, 2014 and 2015) of the Balmoral Badminton Club, the oldest incorporated club within the Auckland Badminton Association, and is part of its interclub team. He won a bronze medal as part of a men's doubles team in the Kiwi Cup international badminton tournament in 2012.
