PROFILE: Quality Restaurants Group, NZPBC Corporate MemberSubmitted by leilani dizon on Fri, 2013-02-15 15:08
Asians have always loved cooking and fine cuisine - such is the case for NZPBC member Ed Viterbo of Quality Restaurants Group. What started off as a simple family restaurant, with a vision to introduce Thai cuisine in New Zealand and to educate locals about Thai culture, has evolved into being a major player in the Auckland restaurant scene in just 10 years. Setting the standard for Asian cuisine dining experience, the Company has shown its flair for innovation in concocting new dishes, trimming restaurant designs, and delivering exemplary service for an entirely unique customer experience.
Being hand-picked to open a bistro-style Thai restaurant at the ASB North Wharf Building at the Viaduct, the most advanced, sustainable, and environment- friendly building in New Zealand, is another feather in Ed's cap. As challenging as it may seem to serve 1,400 staff from ASB Bank New Zealand, Ed is very confident to meet, and even exceed, expectations on this latest project, as it will be a source of real pride and joy, just like his other restaurants (Mai Thai in Victoria Street West and St. Heliers, Golden Silk, Alo Alo Cafe, Grasshopper Restaurant at the Stamford Plaza, and Red Crab in Ellerslie and Waiheke Island).
According to Ed, the New Zealand Philippines Business Council (NZPBC) has been instrumental in building goodwill among Filipino 'kababayans' (fellow men and women) and friends who have been very loyal to his business. As one of NZPBC's latest members, he can attest to the organization's dramatic growth, not only in numbers, but also in the quality of its members. He sees NZPBC as a good fit for his business, as it aligns consistently with one of his objectives, which is to provide a quality environment and experience for businesses and professional 'kababayans'.
