Business 101 Workshop Series. First Session: Taking The Leap

The New Zealand Philippines Business Council (NZPBC) and Chapman Tripp are running a series of Three Business Workshops that focus on setting up a business in New Zealand.

The first session entitled Taking the Leap was held on 22 June 2017, Thursday at Chapman Tripp’s function Room in ANZ Centre, Albert St. Auckland.

The speakers for that night were Stuart Bennett of Boracay Garden Restaurant, Mark Dizon of MDG Property Management and Lloyd Macrohon of Azon Restaurant in Parnell. They are all successful business entrepreneurs in Auckland, New Zealand.

NZPBC Holds Anniversary Dinner at the Stamford

After a very successful Networking Night on 15 September 2012, the New Zealand Philippines Business Council (NZPBC) is gearing up for another milestone, as it grows bigger and better!

2017 IPBA Conference bringing kababayan together in Auckland

The Inter-Pacific Bar Association ("IPBA") annual conference is being held in Auckland on 6 to 9 April this year with over 700 lawyers attending from all over the world. IPBA is an international association of business and commercial lawyers who live in, or have a strong interest in, the Asia-Pacific region. It was established in April 1991 and has since grown to become the leading legal association in the Asia-Pacific region, and currently has over 1500 members from over 65 jurisdictions worldwide.

NZPBC Holds Successful NegoShow 2016

Over the past 3 years, the New Zealand Philippines Business Council (NZPBC) has been running a series of seminars, dubbed as ‘NegoShow’, to help aspiring entrepreneurs on their business ventures. This year, NZPBC held its 4th NegoShow on 19 May 2016, from 6-8PM, at the Chapman Tripp office, ANZ Centre, 23 Albert Street, Auckland City. The event was open to members and non-members free-of-charge.

New Pinoy Resto Opens with Gusto

Boracay Garden Restaurant, one of the latest additions to the NZPBC membership roster, formally opened its doors to the public on 7 April 2016 after a successful soft opening for lunch the day prior. Spearheaded by its owners, Stuart and Marjorie Bennett, Boracay Garden Restaurant showcases authentic Filipino and Asian cuisine, from the humble lumpia (spring roll) to the complicated kare-kare (Philippine stew complimented with a thick savory peanut sauce) at very affordable prices.
