AUCKLAND – Amid a territorial dispute with China that has created fishing “limitations” in the West Philippine Sea, the Philippines is turning to New Zealand and other countries as new sources of marine products.
In Wellington, President Aquino said yesterday China “is important to the Philippines... and important to the rest of the world.”
But he said at a joint press conference with Prime Minister John Key that he welcomed the United States’ “strategic shift” back to Asia.
